Ebringtons Row. Photographed 1969, demolished 1970. This terrace of seven cob cottages with galvanised roofs lay across the present
entrance to Appletree Close. They were said to be snug dwellings, well protected from the North by the cob backhouses against the street. There was one well at the front, but taps were also used between the end cottage and Gunhole, and by the linhay at the entrance to Muxey Lane. Each cottage had a long narrow garden, very well kept. Tenants included Messrs Lawrence, Partridge, Grant, Leach, Rice and Morrish.
